    Centurion Facts & Installation Information

    • DO NOT pressure wash or use wire brushes to clean. Only use a basic mild soap & a soft bristle brush. No acidic cleaners.
    • Centurion Ledge & Cutface products are rectangle so a level will be needed during installation.
    • It's a good idea to take everything out of the boxes and lay them out so you'll be able to get a better blend of sizes and color shades.
    • Put on a 5/8" scratch coat on the concrete wall. Layer back of stone with mortar then stick to wall. May need to jiggle a little to ensure stone has taken hold.
    • Cuts very easily and will break if dropped. Becomes very strong once installed.
    • Start on the outside of wall and work your way in. Stone can be layed top to bottom or bottom to top. It's best to work top to bottom to avoid dripping mortar on stones.
    • If you get mortar on the stones, don't wipe it off because it will smear and then it won't come off. Let it dry and it will crumble off.
    • Mortar recommended are Type N or S mixed with mason sand.
    • 80 lb bag of mortar covers 85 sqft.
    • Type S mortar is high strength and has more portland cement in it.
    • Dry stack means to install very tight with small to no grout joints. If they have grout joints they will get 20 sqft out of mortar.
    • A bonding agent can be used but isn't recommened by manufactor.
    • 50 year warranty.
